Export or re-export of a species listed in CITES Appendices

About the Service

This service enables individuals and companies to apply for the Export/Re-export CITES certificate for live animal and plant species and their derivatives that listed in CITES Convention Appendices. The validity of certificate is six months from the date of issuance.


Service Process


Required Documents

  1. For Export or Re-Export species or derivatives or products listed in Appendix I: 1. CITES import certificate from the importing country or preliminary approval to receive the species or products.
  2. 2. Certificate of ownership of species listed in CITES Appendices (for the species bred in the UAE, with no documents or imported from outside of UAE before 2018)
  3. Or CITES Release Certificate (for species imported from outside of the UAE after 2018).
  4. For Export or Re-Export species or derivatives or products listed in Appendix II or III: 1. Certificate of ownership of species listed in CITES Appendices
  5. (for the species bred in the UAE, with no documents or imported from outside of UAE before 2018)
  6. Or CITES Release Certificate (for species imported from outside of the UAE after 2018).
