Renew registration of pesticide

About the Service

Through this service, a pesticide will be registered by the Ministry (valid for five years or until the expiry date of the registration certificate in the country of origin). Including Fermions, Attracting materials, Extruding materials, Additives and Materials with mechanical or physical contain a pesticide.


Service Process


Required Documents

  1. First, Chemical Pesticide Registration o Registered pesticide in the country of origin:
  2. 1. Certificate of registration of the pesticide in the country of origin issued by the registration authority in English or translated into English (legal translation).
  3. 2. Other registration certificate for the pesticide in a country other than the country of origin of the same plant issued by the registration authority
  4. in an Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member country in English or translated into English.
  5. This certificate may be dispensed upon the decision of the Scientific Committee for Pesticides after studying the feasibility of using these pesticides on economic pests in the UAE.
  6. 3. Certificate of the pesticide composition, including active substances, their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  7. from a governmental laboratory registered by the registrar authority or from a laboratory accredited by the Registrar authority, shall apply the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
  8. If the trade name of the pesticide is not the same in the registration certificates of one of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries,
  9. a further certificate for this pesticide shall be attached, including the active substances and their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  10. from a governmental laboratory of the registration authority or from a certified laboratory by registration authority and applying the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Standards.
  11. 4. Letter of authorization of the establishment from the producing company in the registration and marketing of the pesticide in the UAE.
  12. 5. A copy of the pesticide labels for the registration certificates provided in English (or translated into English legal translation) and a copy translated into Arabic
  13. 6. A copy of the proposed local pesticide package label in all the data in Arabic and English, according to the data provided in item (5) above.
  14. o Unregistered pesticide in the country of origin:
  15. 1. Two registration certificate for the same pesticide from two of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries,
  16. both issued by the registration authority in English or translated into English (legal translation).
  17. 2. Certificate of the pesticide composition, including active substances, their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  18. from a governmental laboratory registered by the registrar authority or from a laboratory accredited by the Registrar authority, shall apply the GLP standards.
  19. If the trade name of the pesticide is not the same in the registration certificates of one of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries,
  20. a further certificate for this pesticide shall be attached, including the active substances and their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  21. from a governmental laboratory of the registration authority or from a certified laboratory by registration authority and applying the Good Laboratory Standards (GLP).
  22. 3. Letter of authorization of the establishment from the producing company in the registration and marketing of the pesticide in the UAE.
  23. 4. A copy of the pesticide labels for the registration certificates provided in English (or translated into English legal translation) and a copy translated into Arabic.
  24. 5. A copy of the proposed local pesticide package label in all the data in Arabic and English, according to the data provided in item (4) above.
  25. Second, Registration of biocides:
  26. 1. Certificate of registration of the pesticide from the country of origin in a member country of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
  27. issued by the registrar or the authorized authority in English or translated into English (legal translation).
  28. 2. Certificate of the pesticide composition, including active substances, their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  29. from a governmental laboratory registered by the registrar authority or from a laboratory accredited by the Registrar authority, shall apply the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
  30. 3. Letter of authorization of the establishment of the company produced in the country of origin by adoption in the registration and marketing of the pesticide in the State.
  31. 4. A copy of the pesticide labels for the registration certificates provided in English (or translated into English legal translation) and a copy translated into Arabic
  32. 5. A copy of the proposed local pesticide package label in all the data in Arabic and English, according to the data provided in item (4) above.
  33. Third, Registration of organic pesticides:
  34. 1. valid organic product certificate issued by a certification body adopting
  35. European, American or Japanese organic production standards stating that the pesticide is licensed for use in organic production.
  36. 2. A certificate from the producing company stating that the pesticide has not entered into the synthesis of any genetically modified substances and
  37. did not use any materials resulting from genetically modified organisms during its production process.
  38. 3. Certificate of the pesticide composition, including active substances, their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  39. from a governmental laboratory registered by the registrar authority or from a laboratory accredited by the Registrar authority, shall apply the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
  40. 4. Letter of authorization of the establishment of the company produced in the country of origin by adoption in the registration and marketing of the pesticide in the State.
  41. 5. A copy of the pesticide labels for the registration certificates provided in English (or translated into English legal translation) and a copy translated into Arabic
  42. 6. A copy of the proposed local pesticide package label in all the data in Arabic and English, according to the data provided in item (5) above.
  43. Fourth, Registration of pesticides ready to use: o Pesticides Manufactured in one of a Member State of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD):
  44. 1. Certificate of registration of the pesticide from the country of origin issued by the registration authority in English or translated into English (legal translation).
  45. 2. Certificate of the pesticide composition, including active substances, their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  46. from a governmental laboratory registered by the registrar authority or from a laboratory accredited by the Registrar authority, shall apply the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
  47. 3. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of pesticides.
  48. 4. A copy of the pesticide labels for the registration certificates provided in English (or translated into English legal translation) and a copy translated into Arabic
  49. 5. A copy of the proposed local pesticide package label in all the data in Arabic and English, according to the data provided in item (4) above.
  50. 6. Letter of authorization of the establishment of the company produced in the country of origin by adoption in the registration and marketing of the pesticide in the State.
  51. o Pesticides filled with factories authorized by a factory registered in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Member States:
  52. 1. Certificate of registration of the pesticide from the country of origin issued by the registration authority in English or translated into English (legal translation).
  53. 2. Certificate of the pesticide composition, including active substances, their percentages and percentages of other inert substances
  54. from a governmental laboratory registered by the registrar authority or from a laboratory accredited by the Registrar authority, shall apply the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
  55. 3. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of pesticides.
  56. 4. A copy of the pesticide labels for the registration certificates provided in English (or translated into English legal translation) and a copy translated into Arabic
  57. 5. A copy of the proposed local pesticide package label in all the data in Arabic and English, according to the data provided in item (4) above.
  58. 6. Two Letter of authorization from the producer company in one of the member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD):
  59. - The establishment of the registration and marketing of the pesticide. - The plant with the authorization to fill the pesticide.
