Ministry of Environment and Water organizes meeting with local livestock importers

The Ministry of Environment and Water, in collaboration with Dubai Ports Company, has recently held a meeting with livestock traders. The meeting is part of the efforts to achieve the ministry's strategic objectives in boosting vital security rates, support food security and ensuring that all administrative services are implemented with the highest quality, efficiency and transparency at the intended time. The meeting consolidates communication ties with traders and clients of livestock—allowing them to be more familiar with organizational procedures and the development of services provided to them.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Abdul Rahim Al Hammadi, the Assistant undersecretary for Support Services; Eng. Abdullah Al Mansouri, President of Client Services department; Ghanem Al Abbar, Deputy Director of Al Hamriya Port; Tarek Bin Khalifa, Manager of General Shipping Department; Saeed Al Zari, Commercial Relations Manager of Rashid and Al Hamriya Ports; Obaid Al Roum, Senior Manager of Operations in Rashid Port and a number of companies specializing in the import and export of livestock.

H.E. Al Hammadi explained that these meetings are held periodically to realize the principle of communicating with partners and clients and a manifestation for the ministry's keenness to recognize their satisfaction and attend to the current and potential needs of clients.

The meeting included demonstrations on the procedures of importing livestock shipments, as well as discussion of several topics like tests procedures and providing a specialized pier for livestock shipments in Al Hamriya Port.

At the end of the meeting, the clients praised the efforts implemented by the Ministry to communicate with them and address their notes and suggestions, assuring that such a step will contribute in developing and facilitating the procedures provided to them.
