MOEW Bans the Import of Birds and Any Poultry Products from Mexico

Based on the information received from the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) regarding the severe intensity bird flu registered in Mexico

the Ministry of Environment and Water has issued a ministerial decision to impose a temporary ban on the import of all live, domestic, wild, and ornamental birds, their products and their remnants from Mexico, until the epidemiological situation in Mexico regarding the bird flu. Thermally treated poultry meat are exempted from the ban.
