Wednesday, 30 September 2015

The Ministry of Environment and Water provided buses for employees who participated in the early voting of this year’s Federal National Council Elections. The move demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to provide support for employees who performed their national duty by casting their votes in early voting of this year’s elections, which was held at the Electoral Headquarters in the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

His Excellency Ghanim Al Shamsi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Support Services Sector, Ministry of Environment and Water, who joined several senior officials and their employees in the early voting at the DWTC, stressed that voting is a national duty of every UAE citizen and ensures the right selection of the candidate that is best suited to serve the nation. He explained that the Ministry has aimed to provide transportation for their employees to further encourage them to take part in this national exercise. Al Shamsi added that the election is an important event that aims to transfer the vision of the government to its citizens and in return, it is the citizen’s duty to pick who they see is fit to represent them.
