During a visit to the Ministry of Environment and Water, a delegation from the Municipality of Dibba Al-Hisn examined the ecological initiatives and projects supervised by the ministry. The delegation reviewed the ministry's strategic goals and its vision of ensuring a sustainable environment. The visit counts among the ministry’s initiatives for strengthening integration and coordination between government entities and presented an opportunity to benefit from the ministry's best practices in the ecological field, enhance partnerships with local authorities, and exchange expertise and practices.
His Excellency Eng. Saif Al Shara, Assistant Undersecretary of Agricultural affairs and Animal Sector, Ministry of Environment and Water, explained to the municipality's delegates that the meeting realizes the directives of the federal government to enhance collaboration between governmental entities in order to exchange expertise and reach optimum levels of cooperation towards the achievement of the goals of UAE Vision 2021.
A presentation by the ministry including its vision, message and strategic goals were presented during the meeting, in addition to the services provided by the relevant department such as the Department of Food Control, were discussed. The delegation from the municipality of Dibba Al-Hisn examined the educational and awareness initiatives and activities conducted by the Department of Education and Awareness.
At the end of the visit, the guests presented to the MOEW with an emblem of Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality to express their gratitude for the meeting and their appreciation for the ministry's pioneering role in ecological and municipal work in the UAE. They acknowledged the importance of holding similar meetings regularly in order to share knowledge among the UAE’s governmental bodies.
