His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, the Deputy Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs, has attended the 41st National Day celebration at the Office of the Northern Region of the Ministry.The celebration ceremony was attended by Mr. Saeed Al Bagham, the Director of the Northern Region Office, employees and staff, and representatives from other local and federal departments, with the participation of a group of farmers, fishermen, students and their parents, and the public present.

 The celebration began with a speech given by His Excellency Mohammed Al Zaabi on the occasion. Then, there was the opening of the Heritage Gallery which displays the craft items provided by the participating fishermen. Afterwards, there were two performances; by the Future Generations Kindergarten pupils, and by Othman Bin Abi Al-Aas Elementary School students who performed the Youla dance. In addition, to the reciting of poems expressing love to the Emirates.

The Ministry of Environment and Water continues its support for the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and the Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai –may Allah bless him-, by planting the “Union Tree” in the front yard of the Northern Region Office, to express the love to the homeland and the sense of belonging.By the end of the celebration ceremony, a number of fishermen and retired employees have been honored, and saplings were distributed among the audience.
