In collaboration with Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center, the Ministry of Environment and Water organized a blood donation campaign at its headquarters in Dubai. The event was attended by undersecretaries, departmental managers, officers, staff and clients.
The campaign is part of the ministry's social responsibility program that encourages the public to donate blood for Thalassemia patients and those suffering from chronic diseases and undergoing surgeries. The campaign seeks to develop and nurture socially responsible culture within the ministry as well as promote interaction among its employees.
The ministry said the campaign attracted a high number of staff and clients. It emphasized the importance of the initiative, which supports the values of Islam and the spirit of social responsibility.
By organizing the event, the ministry hopes to encourage its employees, partners and clients as well as the general public to donate blood regularly to nurture the spirit of giving and further promote human values in the UAE.
