H.E. Dr. Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, received a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) during their visit to the ministry’s Headquarters in Dubai. The delegation was headed by Rashed Mubarak Al Hajeri, the Delegate Member and Member of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) Governing Board and Rashed Mohamed Al Shariqi, Director General of ADFCA; H.E. Khalifa Ahmed Al Ali, Executive Director of Strategic Planning and performance management at ADFCA; and H.E. Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Managing Director of Governmental Services. The meeting was held to coordinate efforts between the ministry and strategic governmental authority partners and discuss collaboration between the two parties.
The Ministry attendees included H.E. Sultan Abdullah Alwan, Assistant Undersecretary for External Audit; H.E. Eng. Saif Al Shara, Assistant Undersecretary of Agricultural Affairs and Animal Sector; H.E. Abdul Rahim Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services; and several department managers.
H.E. Bin Fahad began by discussing the national agenda of the UAE launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as a confirmation of the significance of integrating the roles of federal and local authorities to achieve the goals of UAE Vision 2021 in commemoration of the nation’s upcoming Golden Anniversary.
The meeting reviewed the 2014-2016 plan of the Ministry of Environment and Water and its various strategic and operational goals and indicators. It also tackled international competitive indicators and the various aspects of collaboration and coordination between the Ministry and ADFCA in order to meet modern needs and conditions. The plans and efforts will be unified to achieve the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership.
The parties also agreed to mutually form a committee that will prepare strategic plans for realizing the government's objectives regarding global competitive indicators and for integrating the strategy of the Ministry of Environment and Water with the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority as a strategic partner.
In conclusion, H.E. Minister Dr. Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad, expressed his gratitude to ADFCA for its active role and efforts, and assured the Authority of the Ministry's commitment to strengthening their collaboration in all aspects and achieving the government's aspirations.
