Ministry of Climate Change and Environment Recertifies Nine ISO Standards

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has recently brought a new achievement to its list by re-certifying nine ISO certifications.

The Ministry’s quality, environment, health, occupational safety, information technology, and stakeholder relations management systems were re-assessed through rigorous audits. After passing the audit, the Ministry has successfully recertified the following certificates:

  • (ISO 9001:2008) for quality management system
  • (ISO 14001:2004) for environment management system                                                       
  • (OHSAS 18001:2007) for health & safety management system
  • (ISO 10002:2014) for providing guidance on the process for handling complaints about planning, design, operation, maintenance, and improvement of services
  • (ISO 10001:2007) for customer service charter
  • (ISO/IEC 17025: 2005) for general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
  • (ISO27001:2013) for information security management system
  • (ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011) for IT services management system
  • (ISO 10015: 1999) for improving personnel efficiency by obtaining specification management training system

“The Ministry has successfully passed the external audits conducted by both LRQA and UKAS. This accomplishment reflects The Ministry’s commitment to achieve the highest standards of Quality services and availability, and reliability and efficiency when providing customers with services that adhere to the highest standards of excellence,” said Eng. Khalaf Al Hammadi, the Ministry’s Director of Organizational Excellence Department .

The Ministry’s pesticide laboratory in Sharjah has been awarded with the (ISO/IEC17025) certification, making it the first laboratory in the United Arab Emirates, recognized for quality analysis and monitoring the quality of registered pesticides and their effects on vegetables and fruits.
