Saturday, 02 May 2015

Dr. Ibrahim Al Jamali, Director for the Northern Emirates, Ministry of Environment and Water, headed a delegation of Ministry officials that recently visited the children’s ward of Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). The visit was part of the activities that the Ministry held in celebration of World Health Day and also aimed at increasing more awareness on the significant role played by social responsibility concepts across the community.

According to the ministry, the visit looked towards reinforcing interaction between the Ministry and the patients—stressing on the importance of social ties and to demonstrate the ministry’s commitment to raise the level of awareness of social responsibility and the human values that the Ministry has been working on to strengthen its relations with the members of the community.

During the visit, the Ministry officials checked on the young patients and their wellbeing—talking to the parents of the children and giving them encouragement and hope. The children were also given token gifts and were wished a speedy recovery.

MoEW’s activities in celebration of World Health Day included health events at Al Zaid Cultural Centre and in the Al Zaid area; health lectures in Al Daqdaqa in RAK and the ‘We Walk for Better Health’ activity in the Al Mamzar area in Dubai.
