The UAE Ministry of Environment and Water has organized a meeting with companies concerned with exporting and importing hydrochloric and carbonic materials and exporting hazardous waste at its headquarters in Dubai. In line with the Ministry's strategic goal to achieve environmental sustainability, the session was proposed to ensure provision of all administrative services to the companies, according to the highest standards of quality, efficiency and transparency. The meeting also aims to enhance the communication with companies and clients to get familiar with their opinions regarding the regulatory procedures and development of services
Eng. Aisha Al Abdouli, Undersecretary of Environmental Affairs Sector, UAE Ministry of Environment and Water, welcomed the audience, insuring that the meetings will be held regularly to develop better channels of communication with clients as well as achieve their satisfaction and familiarize with their current and future needs. This will enable the Ministry to provide the highest standards of facilities and services and attain performance excellence in response to the directives of the wise government.
The networking session demonstrated the vision and message of the Ministry to the audience. It also informed about the methods of creating social communication with them as well as familiarizing them with the ‘My Government’ system for suggestions, complaints and service channels. The audience got to know about the services provided by the Ministry in addition to the new service fees being levied from April 2014, and the electronic service for exporting hazardous waste across the border. The meeting also included an open discussion with the companies about their questions and suggestions to develop work procedures, and reach proper solutions.
At the end of the meeting, the visitors praised the efforts of the UAE Ministry of Environment and Water in establishing communication with them as well as addressing their notes and suggestions. They were assured that such measures will contribute in developing and facilitating procedures offered to them.
