The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) organized the 8th session of “My Environment Is My National Responsibility” Exhibition from 2-3 November, 2016 at Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Center in Al Ain Zoo.
Eng. Aisha Al Abdouli, Director of Education and Environmental Awareness Department at MOCCAE said: “We have been organizing this outstanding exhibition for the past eight years with the aim of developing a sense of responsibility towards the environment among the community members especially the youth. It also provides opportunities to improve the talents and skills to enable the students to take up a big role in protecting the environment and lead a sustainable nation in the future.’
“This year the exhibition shed light on three core areas namely: waste recycling, rationalization of water and energy consumption and biodiversity. These topics were selected considering them as the top priority issues in the country which needs to be well understood and addressed by each member of the society,” she added.
Her Excellency Muna Al Dhaheri - Chief Operations Officer at Al Ain Zoo said that “It is our great pleasure to host the “My Environment Is My National Responsibility” exhibition at the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Center. This educational exhibit reflects the mutual efforts of the Zoo & Aquarium Public Institution in Al Ain & the Ministry of Climate Change & Environment in supporting environment sustainability and raising community awareness”.
A variety of additional activities is arranged with the aim of strengthening environmental consciousness through best possible ways. The youth interactive sessions organized by Youth Council and electronic awareness games are expected to be the center of attractions. Students will participate with their proposals for innovative environmental projects of the UAE in the future.
Concerned authorities from all Emirates, companies and organizations are participating in “My Environment Is My National Responsibility” Exhibition, attracted thousands of families and students from all emirates.
