The Ministry of Environment and Water has announced that its border crossing stations, quarantine and veterinary centers will remain open during the Eid al-Fitr holidays starting Thursday, July 16, 2015, until Sunday, July 19, 2015.
The announcement falls in line with the Ministry’s commitment to deliver administrative services at the highest levels of quality, efficiency and transparency. It also reflects the Ministry’s commitment to meet customer requirements in accordance with the best practices in the areas of environment, agriculture, livestock and fishery as well as simplify procedures during Eid al-Fitr.
In Abu Dhabi, the Ministry said the veterinary quarantine center in Port Khalifa and Al Khail will provide services from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. while the Ghouweifat quarantine center will be open from 8 a.m. until midnight.
The Ministry also revealed the working hours for its Dubai operations. Some of its quarantine centers will receive customers round the clock, including Dubai Airport Office, the Office of Quarantine Veterinary at Dubai Airport Free Zone FG4, and the Office of Quarantine at Jebel Ali Gate 7. The staff of the Quarantine Office at Dubai Airport FG1 will work from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. The following centers will also provide services 24/7: Quarantine Office at the Port of Jebel Ali Centre, Al Hawiyat Gate 2; the Centre for Quarantine and Veterinary, Hamriya Port; the Office of Quarantine, Port Marami; Quarantine Office, Port Rashid; the Office of Quarantine Market Vegetables, Al Awir; the Office of the Quarantine, Port of Jebel Ali Gate 7; and Dnata FG3, Dubai Airport.
During Eid al-Fitr, round-the-clock services will also be delivered at the Port Hatta Border in Central Region; Sharjah Air Airport; Port Khalid in Central Region; and Circuit Port and Ras Al Khaimah Airport in Northern Region. Meanwhile, the Khatmat Malaha Quarantine and Veterinary Services Center in the Eastern Province will be open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. except on July 16, 2015 with a work schedule of 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
