H.E. Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, UAE Minister of Environment and Water, received recently H.E. Merete Juhl, the Danish Ambassador to the UAE at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Dubai. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation as well as ways to further consolidate relations between both countries, especially in the economic, trade and environmental fields. The leadership of the UAE and Denmark is keen to activate their mutual alliance and develop this for the benefit and interest of their respective countries and peoples.

H.E. Dr. bin Fahad emphasized the importance of visits in which officials, experts and specialists in the environmental and water fields from the two countries are present. In addition, he highlighted the need for participation in exhibitions and conferences.

 The Minister also met H.E. Maya Tisaffi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE. During the meeting, he praised the depth and durability of the distinguished relations between the two countries, while emphasizing the development and progression of relationships in many new areas. The Minister praised the efforts to support and strengthen relations between the UAE and Switzerland in environmental and trade fields.

 For her part, H.E. Tissafi expressed her deep thanks and appreciation to H.E. Dr. bin Fahad and the UAE Government, noting that the relations between both countries have reached an outstanding level.

Lastly, H.E. Dr. bin Fahad had a meeting with H.E. Riitta Swan, the new Ambassador of Finland to the UAE. He welcomed her and wished her a pleasant stay as well as great success in her new role as it will contribute to the promotion and development of close fraternal ties between both countries.

 For her part, H.E. Swan expressed her admiration and pride for the UAE in achieving comprehensive development in all fields.
