His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Water recently welcomed the visit of Mattar Rashid Al Suaidi, publisher and owner of Al Muzare’ magazine, a specialized agriculture and livestock based publication for farm owners, animal breeders, agricultural equipment suppliers, veterinarians and other professionals in the field.

During the meeting, Al Suaidi gave His Excellency a detailed explanation on Al Muzare’ Magazine’s content, which ultimately aims to promote environmental and agricultural awareness, instill best practices in the move to protect the environment and promote the sustainable use of natural resources. He also spoke about the implementation of simplified models and solutions to help farms and livestock facilities address environmental challenges and problems.

 In response, Bin Fahad expressed the Ministry’s continuing support for national initiatives directed towards the improvement of the agriculture and livestock sectors—particularly in the move to increase awareness on the important role that local farmers and animal breeders play in the efforts to maintain food security. As a show of this support, the Ministry will be providing the publication with news and feature articles, along with other vital information to help reinforce the Ministry’s strategies of reinforcing its ties with the local media and relaying its key messages to the general public.

 Al Suaidi thanked His Excellency for their vow of support and equally expressed the support of the magazine via the inclusion of educational subjects specifically directed to these groups, in addition to containing various topics related to the activity of farming, landscaping and animal breeding.

 Also present during the meeting were H.E. Abdulraheem Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for Environment Affairs and Eng. Yousef Al Raisi, Acting Director of the Government Communication Department.
