The Ministry of Environment and Water has concluded the 18th National Environment Day in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. The closing ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, and by notable public and private institutions, as well civil society organizations and other relevant parties
The event featured a speech by H.E. Bin Fahad, followed by a short film discussing the importance of innovation before moving on to a graduation ceremony honoring the latest crop of environment ambassadors that will be representing the seven Emirates. The ambassador program was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, which organized intensive training workshops on various environmental issues for representatives who were selected based on several standardized tests. The parties involved in organizing the activities of the 18th National Environment Day were also honored, along with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) which was the main sponsor of the event.
