MoCCAE is celebrating the World Veterinary Day under the theme " The role of the  Veterinary Profession in  Sustainable Development to improve livelihoods, food security and safety". The #veterinarian plays an important role in the development of society by protecting the  animal wealth from animal diseases, which in turn reflects the enhancement of  Food Security. The number of veterinarians in the government sector is 400 veterinarians working in  Animal Health, veterinary quarantine,  Food Safety & diagnostic laboratories? The Ministry also licensed 654 veterinarians to work in the private sector in a series of measures to ensure the level of veterinary services in the country, based on Federal Law No. 8 of 2017 on the practice of veterinary medicine.
