Wadi Siji

Wadi Siji, located between Al Dhaid to the west and Masafi to the east, represents a place of natural beauty. Containing two dams, one of which known as Wadi Siji Old Dam, has a water storage capacity of 1.2 million cubic metres. The valley and its position within the Hajar Mountains, allows for possibilities including picnicking, camping and hiking.

How to get here

Wadi Siji Old Dam is approximately 40 km northwest of Fujairah, on the Dubai – Fujairah Road ./ Khalifa Bin Zayed Road – E 84.


Recommended Visit Season

October to April, however caution has to be taken with the mountain road during winter rains.


Facilities

There are a few small shops and food and beverage outlets in and round Al-Siji village.


Entrance fees

There is no entry fee.


What To Take

Appropriate outdoors clothing and footwear. Hiking and camping equipment. A GPS unit for monitoring location in the wadis. Taking water and food is also recommended.
