Ecotourism Areas Details

Mutaredh Oasis

Mutaredh Oasis, lying a little to the west of Al Jahili Fort, has historic residences amongst its date plantations.

As with the other oases, falaj irrigation channels carrying underground water to the surface are central to agriculture. Equally vital is their pivotal role in the progress of society and human development within an arid setting. Mutaredh in this respect, forms one example of the UNESCO World Heritage List represented by the six oases in Ain.
