Located just 500 meters off the coast of Abu Dhabi, this 27 square kilometer island consists of three districts: Culture, Beach, and Marina.
The reserve is currently under development and expected to be open for visitors by 2020. Once launched, look forward to exploring interesting habitats in the reserve such as birds, insects, crabs, bivalves, and barnacles. Driven by a planned rehabilitation and organized green program, about 400,000 mangroves have already been planted within the reserve.
The world-class cultural icon, Abu Dhabi’s new and famous Louvre museum is situated on the island. With almost ten years of construction and more than 10,000 tons of steel, the museum is a great artistic significance to the world.
